June Milliken-M

June Milliken paints in a realist style, but attempts to reform commonplace subjects by painting them from a unique perspective. Her watercolors reveal a unique blend of techniques that she has successfully incorporated into her work. Her art compositions are inspired from colorful landscapes, unusual architecture, and scenic coastal locales.

June has been painting professionally for over 17 years and is the recipient of over 50 exhibition awards for her work.

She has designed the current Massachusetts Scholastic Sports Awards and medals, as well as the International Bandmaster's Lifetime Achievement medals, and has done ink portrait sketches for the Hall of Fame. She also designed a cover for harpist Andrea McCarthy's cd; "Cape Morning".

Some of June's commissions include painting scenes in mural form. She has produced murals for home walls that include gardens, woodland scenes, and ocean views. She is now offering murals and framed commissions.

June's art work is exhibited in Plymouth, Mass. and many Cape Cod galleries.

June presently resides in Florida. Her studio in Venice provides a quiet place for her to express herself through many mediums including watercolor, pastel, pen and ink, and printmaking.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. -- Henry David Thoreau
